Christmas & Permanent Light Installation in Maryville, TN

Seasonal displays and permanent roofline lighting across Maryville and Blount County.

Lighting built for Maryville rooflines

Maryville is the second-largest city in the Knoxville metro after Knoxville itself, and it does not really behave like a suburb. It has its own downtown, its own economy in education, healthcare and retail, and its own character sitting that much closer to the mountains. It is also the gateway to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which puts a lot of December traffic past a lot of front elevations. Blount County addresses are well inside the range we cover from Oak Ridge.

Maryville takes both kinds of work. The older streets near downtown suit traditional roofline runs, wreaths and wrapped columns, while the newer subdivisions out toward Alcoa Highway take permanent track cleanly. December here is wet, winter is the wettest season in East Tennessee, so we favor fixings that will still be holding in January over whichever clip goes on fastest in October.

Maryville is its own market, not a suburb

Maryville has close to 28,000 people and runs on education, healthcare and retail, which means the commercial work here is not just storefronts. Medical offices, school and campus frontages, and retail centers all want the same thing: a lit entrance that reads well after dark, installed without closing anything. Because it has its own downtown rather than borrowing one, there is a genuine business district to light.

The residential side is shaped by the mountains. Maryville is the gateway to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, so December brings visitor traffic through town and past a lot of front elevations, which makes a finished frontage worth more here than in a street nobody drives down. Sitting closer to the mountains it also takes more weather, so we fix for a wet, cold January rather than for whatever goes up fastest in October.

What we install

Christmas & Seasonal

Full-service holiday displays: design, commercial-grade lights, installation, in-season service, then takedown and storage.

JellyFish Permanent

Track-mounted permanent lighting tucked under the roofline. Millions of colors, app controlled, holiday or everyday.

Bosso Smart Lighting

A permanent lighting alternative with its own fixture and control system. We fit it to homes JellyFish does not suit.

Commercial & HOA

Storefronts, offices, common areas and entrances, scheduled installs that work around your business hours.

Christmas and seasonal light installation in Maryville

Seasonal lighting is a full service, not a box of lights from a shelf. We design the display around your roofline, install commercial-grade product cut to fit your house, and service it through the season if anything goes dark. After the holidays we take it down and store it until next year, so nothing lives in your garage and nothing gets crushed between seasons.

Booking order decides the calendar. Installs run in the order they are booked, so the earliest dates go to whoever called first. If you want the lights on before the first weekend of December, get on the list well before the season starts.

Permanent outdoor lighting in Maryville

Permanent lighting is a slim track fixed under the roofline that stays up all year and reads as trim from the street. Run warm white on an ordinary evening, color through December, orange and white for a Saturday in autumn, or switch it off entirely. It is all controlled from an app, so nobody climbs anything.

We install two systems. JellyFish is the one most people have heard of and we are an authorized dealer. Bosso is an alternative with its own fixture and control system that suits some rooflines better. We bring both to the consult and tell you which fits your house, including when that is the cheaper option.

Commercial and HOA lighting in Maryville

We light storefronts, offices, entrances and common areas as well as homes. Commercial work is scheduled around your trading hours so the install never costs you a business day, and a larger property can be phased across several visits.

If an HOA, a landlord or a historic district has rules about fixture color, brightness or where a track may sit, bring them to the consult and we design to them from the start rather than asking for an exception later.

Maryville questions we get asked

Are you actually local to Maryville, or driving over from Knoxville?
Neither, exactly. We're based in Oak Ridge, so Maryville is a real drive rather than a neighborhood job. It's well inside the range we cover and we work Blount County regularly, but we're not going to tell you we're around the corner.
Our house is near downtown and it's older. Roofline run, or wreaths and columns?
Often both, and the older streets near downtown are where that mix works hardest. A traditional roofline run with wrapped columns and wreaths suits a house with porch detail worth lighting, where a bare edge run would miss most of what makes it look good. On those houses the roof edge usually isn't where the interest is. The fixing gets chosen edge by edge on those houses, the same way it does on the original stock in Oak Ridge. Both options come to the consult. More on Christmas light installation.
It rains more here. Does that mean the lights fail sooner?
Only if they're fixed badly. Winter is the wettest season in East Tennessee, and sitting closer to the mountains Maryville takes more of it than central Knoxville does. What kills a display isn't the water, it's the cycle. Soaked, frozen overnight, thawed by afternoon, week after week. That's what works cheap clips loose and splits retail-grade sockets. We fix to the actual roof edge and pick mounting that'll still be holding in January.
We run a medical office. Can you light the entrance without closing anything?
Yes. Entrances, canopies and campus frontages are most of the commercial work here, and they get installed around your hours. More on commercial and HOA lighting.
Does the Smokies traffic through town in December actually matter?
For a house on a main route through Maryville, a bit. More cars pass a lit frontage here in December than in most of the metro. For a house on a quiet street it makes no difference at all, and we wouldn't sell it as a reason on its own.
